Reciprocal migration research – an enriching approach

On 12. September, Dr Khangelani Moyo will speak about reciprocal migration research as a new enriching approach.

The title of the presentation is "Turning the gaze on the global north: Reciprocal research as the new frontier in decolonising migration studies research". In the presentation, Dr Khangelani Moyo reflects on the methodological nuances and considerations of his own study from 2021/22 on the integration policies of refugees on the municipal level in Freiburg.

Reciprocal research, he shows, can make an important contribution to decolonising and decentering of knowledge production and enriches the understanding of different yet connected contexts.
