Special Issue Launch: Online Discussion

Event Poster

Research on authoritarian connections beyond the state requires a transregional practices approach. This special issue on "Authoritarian power and contestation beyond the state" is an invitation to combine critical approaches to the study of authoritarian power by paying attention to spaces of contestation, authoritarian practices, as well as non-state actors and agency below and beyond the scale of the state. The authors focus on authoritarian practices and their spatial and temporal articulations in (1) transregional infrastructures, (2) global processes of capital accumulation and (3) nature-society relations.

In this online event, Dr. Rafeef Ziadah, Prof. Natalie Koch and Prof. Marlies Glasius will provide feedback and comments on the recently published Globalizations Special Issue on "Authoritarian power and contestation beyond the state", edited by Dr. Julia Gurol, Dr. Alke Jenss, Dr. Fabricio Rodríguez, Dr. Benjamin Schuetze & Cita Wetterich.

You can participate in the event via the following link https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89270130431 on June 27, 1-3 pm (CET).
