She was awarded the Arnold Bergstraesser Prize for her work "The conflict over wind turbines in the Istmo de Tehuantepec, Mexico. Social natural conditions, inequalities, participation and discourses". Rosa Lehmann received her doctorate under Prof. Reinhard Kößler.
The University of Freiburg together with the Arnold-Bergstraesser-Institute awards the Arnold Bergstraesser Price to young academics who submit an exceptional dissertation in the field of social sciences. In the tradition of Arnold Bergstraesser, the dissertation should deal intensively with topics of societal and political change in countries of the Global South.
