On May 4th, 2023, the second workshop on "African Forced Migration Studies in Germany" took place online. The focus of the workshop was on peace and forced migration. While forced migration research has already extensively examined the link between conflict and displacement, peace has so far been a less central research topic.
The University of Osnabrück, in cooperation with the ABI and funded by the German Foundation for Peace Research, organized the workshop. Participants from universities and institutions from all over Europe and Africa exchanged their research on peace and forced migration, as well as how they conduct their research.
