Dr. Inés Durán Matute, quien es investigadora visitante en el Instituto Arnold Bergstraesser actualmente, va a presentar su trabajo sobre resistencias indígenas en contra de mega proyectos de energía e infraestructura en México. Su trabajo ha sido publicado, entre otros, en forma de libro: Indigenous Peoples and the Geographies of Power: Mezcala’s Narratives of Neoliberal Governance. Inés es investigadora post-doc en el Instituto de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (Mexico). También ha sido investigadora en el Institute for Research on Labor and Employment en la Universidad de California Los Angeles UCLA (USA) y en CIESAS (Mexico).

Dr. Inés Durán Matute, currently a fellow at the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute, will present and discuss her work on indigenous resistance against energy and infrastructure projects in Mexico. Her book Indigenous Peoples and the Geographies of Power came out with Routledge in 2018. Inés is a post-doc researcher at the Graduate School of Sociology at the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (Mexico). She has also been a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment at UCLA (USA) and CIESAS (Mexico).
