Infographics on the ABI's results in the STADTRADELN campaign.
Over the course of three weeks, from June 28th to July 18th 2025, the ABI team participated in the nation-wide initiative "STADTRADELN" (city cycling). As one of 714 teams with a total of more than 11.000 cyclists in Freiburg, 21 staff members of ABI collectively cycled more than 3.000 kilometers and were able to save about 500 kg CO2 in the process. We are very pleased about these results!
„STADTRADELN“ is a competition with the aim to cycle as many everyday journeys as possible, in a climate-friendly way, for 21 days. The campaign promotes climate protection and cycling, and is committed to improving cycling infrastructure in German cities.
The institute is easily reachable by bike via the Dreisamradweg FR1. The majority of staff and students commute to the ABI by bike.
