After nearly ten years of co-founding and shaping AMMODI, Franzisca Zanker is handing over the co-coordination of the network to Edwin Mutyenyoka. Franzisca Zanker initiated AMMODI nearly a decade ago together with Jesper Bjanersen from the Nordic Africa Institute in Uppsala and has played a central role in shaping its activities and formats ever since.

Edwin Mutyenyoka is a postdoctoral researcher at the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute whose research focuses on South-South migration and the political agency of migrants.

AMMODI provides a space for nuanced analyses of African migration, mobility and displacement. The network brings together different perspectives on the social, political and economic dimensions of these processes and supports dialogue across disciplines.
