The presentation deals with the question of how pressing concerns regarding the global energy transition may shape the quality and dynamics of South-South relations. Empirically, the focus lies on the politico-economic analysis of China’s trade and investment relations with Latin America as well as on the critical reflection of the underpinning developmental paradigms. The presentation is organized upon the invitation of Nanjing University. The expected participants include lectures, researchers, and graduate students working at the intersection of Global Development and International Relations.
