PhD Scholarship with a thematic focus on
Violent Conflicts and Migration
The scholarship is provided by the ABI scholarship fund. The theme of the PhD dissertation can be freely chosen from within the field of violent conflicts and migration, with a regional focus on the Middle East or Africa.
We offer:
- Monthly allowance of 1000,- € for 24months
- Additional travel and research funds (field research, conferences)
- Fully equipped office & use of the institute’s infrastructure (i. e. specialized library)
- Participation in the working group Migration and Conflicts, and involvements in the activities of the Department of Political Science at the University of Freiburg
Your profile:
- MA degree in political science or related subjects
- Proven ability to carry out independent academic research
- Willingness to carry out field research
- Regional specialisation in the Middle East, Northern Africa, Horn of Africa, or West Africa
- Residence: Freiburg, Germany
