On May 1st, 2025, ABI staff member Tim Glawion talked at the African Studies Centre Leiden, The Netherlands, on subjective dimensions of peace- and statebuilding across Africa, giving insights into his studies in marginal areas of several conflict-affected countries in Africa and sketching out a framework for how to study issues of peace development, and security by taking people’s subjective insights seriously – even when they seem to contradict “objective fact“.
