The Freiburg Migration Forum provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and perspectives on migration and integration by giving researchers and representatives of local organizations the opportunity to discuss their work and engage in dialogue. Local organizations active in the field of migration are included in the discussions. The meetings address topics related to migration and integration, thereby promoting interdisciplinary exchange. Participants come from Freiburg's universities as well as local organizations and politics, contributing to a constructive dialogue between academia and practice.

The forum emerged from the previous Freiburg Network for Migration Research, which brought together researchers in Freiburg between 2011 and 2022.
