Lewis Turner ist ein Post-Doc-Forscher, der primär zu humanitärer Arbeit mit syrischen Flüchtlingen im Nahen Osten forscht. In seiner Dissertation untersuchte er die Position von männlichen Flüchtlingen in humanitären Interventionen im Za'tari-Flüchtlingslager in Jordanien. Er hat ebenfalls publiziert zu den Zusammenhängen zwischen Arbeitsmärkten, Flüchtlingslagern und Versuchen, syrische Flüchtlinge unter der Schirmherrschaft des Jordan Compact in den jordanischen Arbeitsmarkt zu integrieren.
