Anas Ansar beginnt Juniorprofessur an der North South University in Bangladesch

Ab Oktober diesen Jahres wird Anas Ansar, wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am ABI, eine Juniorprofessur für Political Science & International Studies an der North South University in Dhaka, Bangladesch, antreten. Erst kürzlich ist seine erste Monografie „Rohingyas and the Geographies of Precarity in Exile: Everyday Life in Bangladesh and Malaysia” in der Reihe des Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies bei De Gruyter erschienen.

Über diesen Schritt schreibt er:

"Bangladesh is a country whose democratic challenges and transformations resonate deeply with my academic journey. After years of studying and working in Academia in Europe and particularly in Germany, I return with comparative global perspective and hope to offer students not just analytical tools, but also a critical lens rooted in both global scholarship and regional urgency. In this time of political upheaval, when institutions and norms are being renegotiated, such a position is more than academic — it is a civic responsibility. I look forward to this new challenge with enthusiasm and purpose."

Neben seiner Professur in Bangladesch wird Anas Ansar seine Arbeit am ABI fortsetzen. Das ABI gratuliert ihm zu dieser spannenden Herausforderung und freut sich auf die weitere Zusammenarbeit.
