Evaluation des Georg Forster-Forschungsstipendienprogramms der Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung (Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung)

The Alexander von Humbolt-Foundation’s  Georg Forster Scholarship Programme is tailored to developing countries. The candidates for this programme are not simply chosen on the basis of “classic” scholastic criteria (qualifications, quality and feasibility of research project), but also by the relevance their project has to advancing the development of their home country. In addition to the financial support of the scholarship, the Georg Forster-Scholarship Programme offers a number of long term support measures to ensure the sustainable connection between scholarship winners and their home countries as well as integrate them into international scholastic networks. The ABI received approval to evaluate the scholarship program after a public call for bids. In 2012, numerous interviews, an online survey of all 486 scholarship holders, and field studies in Brazil, Nigeria and Bangladesh were conducted. The results were presented in 2013.
