Abstract:
Four case studies (Niger, Nigeria, Senegal and the Gambia, tbc) highlighting the political dimension of migration governance (i.e. what are the real sometimes hidden interests plus power asymmetries) and the multiple stakeholders (including civil society and sub-national ones). Acknowledging the different forms of migration governance, and their interaction and influence on each other, the studies will consider emigration, immigration and forced displacement in the respective countries. The project includes four reports based on fieldwork and a final workshop in Accra, Ghana.
