The European International Studies Association (EISA) is taking place at the University of Potsdam this week. Scientists from the ABI present their work:
- Fabricio Rodríguez discusses his work on Epistemic Hierarchies to Knowledge(s) in Dialogue in the section on Reimagining Peace Studies.
- Alessandra Bonci and Alke Jenss present their work on (authoritarian) political practices around hydropower and solar infrastructure in Tunisia and Costa Rica in the section on Global Orders and Infrastructures.
- A panel on Authoritarian Practices and Global Economy from a “Southern” Perspective organized by Alke Jenss and Hugo Fanton includes presentations by Gustavo Robles (Argentina), Onur Can Tastan (Turkey) and Kennedy Manduna (South Africa).
- Hugo Fanton and Alke Jenss organized another panel on Resisting bodies, resisting communities, resisting territories – where is contestation in authoritarian neoliberalism? with Melissa Johnston (Australia), Sara Cufré (Argentina), Inés Durán (Mexico), Firoozeh Farvadin (Germany)
- A roundtable will discuss Alke Jenss´s new book Selective Security in the War on Drugs.
- Charlotte Müller, Philipp Wagner and Elia El-Khazen participate at the workshop „The Politics of Green Extractivism in the Global Energy Transition“.
