Reading List: Bedeutungen, Folgen und geopolitische Aspekte von Abschiebungen

In jüngeren Debatten sind Abschiebungen zu einem politischen Ziel geworden, in denen die Notwendigkeit eines vermeintlichen effizienteren Abschiebeapparates nicht mehr in Frage steht. Dabei weisen viele Studien seit langem nach, wie äußerst komplex die Umsetzung eines solchen Abschiebeimperativs ist, dass Abschiebungen in vielschichtigen geopolitischen Zusammenhängen stehen, oft menschenrechtlich oder staatsrechtlich problematisch sind und nicht zuletzt verheerende Folgen für Betroffene haben. Diese Liste und ihre Einleitung sollen helfen, solch kritische Aspekte in der Öffentlichkeit bekannter zu machen. Sie richtet sich an Forschende, Studierende, Journalist*innen und die interessierte Öffentlichkeit.

Wie Menschen in aller Welt sind auch die Mitarbeitenden des ABIs zutiefst bestürzt und besorgt über die Ereignisse, die sich seit dem 7. Oktober 2023 in Israel/Palästina zutragen.
