Kurze Beschreibung / Abstract:
The purpose of this postdoctoral mentorship program is to .provide social science assistance regarding methodology, data collection, data analysis, and a potential journal publication. The joint project itself focuses on effective strategies for the reclamation of degraded land in gold mining areas and impacts on local livelihoods in Northern Burkina Faso. Lead-researcher Dr. Sidzabda Djibril Dayamba (CIFOR, Burkina Faso) is supported by Dr. Helga Dickow and Dr. Christian von Lübke, who contribute the methodological, conceptual and social-political perspectives to the project. Joint field work in Burkina Faso was conducted in September 2014.
